Hi-Gain Kemper Profiles Vol. 2 – The Next Evolution of Modern Metal Tone
Following the success of our first release, Nevo Studios proudly presents the Hi-Gain Kemper Profiles Vol. 2 — a powerful continuation of our metal profiling series. This new collection builds upon the foundation of Vol. 1 and expands it with even more tonal variety, precision, and aggression. Designed for metal guitarists who demand professional results, these profiles deliver mix-ready tones that work perfectly in recording, live performance, or reamping sessions.
A New Set of Amps and Cabinets
For this second volume, we teamed up once again with guitarist Kim Wiklund from Orecus and Monoscream. Together, we profiled 6 high-gain amp heads and 5 matching cabinets, resulting in 48 new Kemper profiles. Each setup was selected for its distinct tonal character — from ultra-tight modern metal tones to saturated, vintage-inspired crunch. As a result, the pack offers a wider tonal spectrum and complements Vol. 1 perfectly, allowing you to mix and layer profiles for even greater depth.
Every amp was tuned and dialed in for its ideal gain range, ensuring consistent response and dynamic balance across the collection. In addition, each Kemper profile was tested in dense rhythm stacks and lead mixes to guarantee clarity and power even in the heaviest productions.
Captured Through the Nevo Studios Signal Chain
All profiling sessions took place in Studio A at Nevo Studios using our trusted analog front-end — the Amek/Neve console and ATC monitoring system. Therefore, each Kemper profile retains the authentic warmth, harmonic depth, and punch of the original amplifiers. The microphone selection included the Shure SM57, Sennheiser MD421, and a variety of ribbon and condenser microphones, chosen for their ability to shape both modern and classic metal tones.
Every combination was refined over multiple sessions to capture the most musical and accurate sound possible. In other words, what you hear in these profiles is the real tone of each amp, preserved with no post-processing or digital coloration.
Designed for Real-World Performance
All profiles were tested through studio monitors, FRFR systems, and live PA setups to ensure consistent results across environments. Moreover, gain levels, EQ, and dynamics were carefully balanced so you can plug in and play instantly. Whether you use a Kemper Head, Rack, or Stage, these profiles respond naturally to pick attack and volume changes, just like the real amps.
