Hi-Gain NAM Captures Vol. 2 – the next chapter of the Nevo Studios metal sound
Following the strong response to the first release, Nevo Studios presents Hi-Gain NAM Captures Vol. 2, continuing the evolution of our Neural Amp Modeler series. This volume pushes the tonal boundaries further with new amplifier configurations, deeper saturation, and more refined dynamic response. Built for modern metal guitarists and producers, it delivers the same aggressive clarity and mix-ready realism that define the Nevo Studios high-gain approach.
Building beyond Vol. 1
Compared to the first volume, this release offers a broader spectrum of tones and gain structures. The pack includes 48 new NAM captures created from 6 high-gain amp heads paired with 5 carefully matched cabinets. This makes it easy to combine tones from both volumes when building wide rhythm stacks or articulate lead sounds that remain clear in dense productions.
Each amplifier was dialed in at its optimal settings and captured across multiple gain levels. Every cabinet was paired with microphones chosen to emphasize the unique character of each amp. The result ranges from tight, modern metal precision to thick, saturated distortion suited for death, thrash, and core-oriented styles.
Captured through the Nevo Studios analog signal path
All Neural Amp Modeler captures were created at Nevo Studios using the Amek/Neve analog console and monitored on ATC reference systems. This ensures that each capture retains the depth, punch, and harmonic complexity of the original hardware. The microphone selection included Shure SM57, Sennheiser MD421, along with ribbon and condenser microphones, all carefully positioned and phase-aligned for maximum realism and balance.
No post-processing such as EQ, compression, or enhancement was applied. Instead, the captures reflect the true sound of each amplifier and cabinet, preserving the integrity of a fully analog signal chain translated directly into the NAM format.
Designed for practical production use
Every NAM capture in Vol. 2 was tested across different monitoring environments to ensure reliable and consistent results. The tones translate smoothly for recording and reamping directly in your DAW, with gain structure and EQ balanced for immediate usability. Each capture responds naturally to picking dynamics, maintaining the feel and behavior of a real amplifier.
